Paintings

I have always been drawn to nature.  The colors, forms, effects and design of life are beyond what the mind can imagine. Would you believe this can be true for man made objects as well? 

These paintings present a collection of items chosen for their shape, texture and color as they relate to each other.  My goal is to play with the design and the light until something interesting, delightful and exciting emerges. The overall harmony and presence of each work is resolved as a unified visual experience that settles the eye and rewards prolonged attention.

Distinct from the Held Light series, these paintings form the foundation of my practice. They are where perception is tested most directly and visual judgment is exercised in real time. Offered selectively, they are intended for collectors who value restraint, beauty, and quiet authority.
